Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate manual or CNC lathe machines
Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
Select suitable tools, materials, and machining speeds
Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments
Inspect finished components for accuracy and quality
Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools
Maintain production records and documentation
Coordinate with engineers and quality control teams
Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain cleanliness
Troubleshoot machining and operational issues
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience as a Lathe Operator or Machinist
Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
Familiarity with precision measuring instruments
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Basic mathematics and computer knowledge
Understanding of machining processes and materials
Ability to handle heavy materials and stand for long hours
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Flexibility to work shifts if required
