Role Overview

SAP is hiring a DevOps Engineer to support globally available SaaS and public cloud-based production services. This engineering role focuses on reliability, automation, infrastructure engineering, troubleshooting, and cloud operations across distributed environments.

The ideal candidate should have strong cloud infrastructure expertise, scripting and coding abilities, configuration management experience, and hands-on knowledge of containerized and large-scale deployment environments.

Key Responsibilities
Production & Cloud Operations
Operate and maintain production services across:
Multiple datacenters
Public cloud environments
Write and deploy code to maintain production systems
Manage cloud deployments using configuration management tools and CI/CD pipelines
Automation & Reliability Engineering
Design and implement automation solutions to:
Reduce manual operational tasks
Improve system reliability
Auto-heal failures
Generate alerts and health monitoring
Improve operational efficiency and reduce system toil
Troubleshooting & Incident Management
Perform deep troubleshooting and forensic analysis
Identify recurring issues and implement long-term solutions
Support production stability and reliability
Collaboration
Partner with software engineering teams to:
Build website environments
Troubleshoot deployments
Resolve configuration issues
Maintain and improve cloud configuration management systems
Required Qualifications
Experience
3–7 years of Windows and/or Linux system engineering experience
Programming & Scripting

Knowledge of:

Java
GoLang
.NET
Scripting and coding automation
Cloud & Infrastructure

Experience with:

Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Google Cloud
Microsoft Azure
Configuration Management

Hands-on experience with:

Ansible
Puppet
CHEF
Other configuration management tools
Containers & Virtualization
Docker
Kubernetes (K8s)
Server virtualization technologies

Experience with:
