Job Summary
ARCH-EN DESIGN is urgently hiring an experienced Plumbing & Fire Fighting Design Engineer / PHE Engineer to join its architectural team in New Delhi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and managing Public Health Engineering (PHE) systems for architectural projects while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Engineering
Design plumbing and fire fighting systems for architectural and construction projects.
Prepare detailed engineering drawings, layouts, schematics, and BOQs.
Develop water supply, drainage, sewage, stormwater, and firefighting system designs.
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Project Coordination
Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, MEP consultants, and contractors.
Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of PHE systems.
Participate in design review meetings and provide technical inputs.
Project Management
Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and technical documentation.
Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout project execution.
Assist in site coordination and troubleshooting during installation and commissioning.
Technical Documentation
Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, estimation documents, and reports.
Review drawings and shop drawings submitted by contractors/vendors.
Maintain proper documentation for approvals and project records.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong expertise in Plumbing and Fire Fighting Design.
Good knowledge of BOQ preparation and quantity estimation.
Strong understanding of Architecture, Civil Engineering, and Construction Management.
Proficiency in project coordination and project management.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field.
Specialized training in Public Health Engineering (PHE) / Environmental Engineering is an added advantage.
Preferred Experience
Prior experience in architectural firms or building services consulting.
Experience in designing and implementing PHE systems across commercial, residential, or mixed-use projects.
Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and compliance requirements.
