Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to design, develop, program, commission, and maintain industrial automation systems for water treatment and wastewater projects. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in PLC, SCADA, HMI, instrumentation, and control systems, along with experience in commissioning automation solutions at project sites.

Key Responsibilities
Automation System Design & Development
Design, configure, and implement automation systems for water treatment engineering projects.
Develop automation architectures and control strategies.
Integrate PLC, SCADA, HMI, and instrumentation systems with project requirements.
Ensure seamless integration of automation systems with other engineering disciplines.
PLC, SCADA & HMI Programming
Program, configure, test, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI applications.
Configure SCADA systems for monitoring and control.
Implement software modifications under established change control procedures.
Perform internal Software Factory Acceptance Testing (SFAT) for automation programs.
Commissioning & Technical Support
Commission PLC and automation systems at project sites.
Collaborate with electrical commissioning engineers during installation and startup.
Investigate automation-related issues and provide technical solutions.
Support process engineers and multidisciplinary teams with automation expertise.
Documentation & Compliance
Prepare automation documentation, SOPs, and technical reports.
Maintain project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
Support validation and verification activities for automation systems.
Project & Tender Support
Collaborate with project teams to deliver automation solutions within project timelines.
Support the tendering team by estimating hardware requirements, programming effort, and automation scope.
Manage automation project activities while adhering to budget and company guidelines.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in:
Electrical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Electronics Engineering
Automation Engineering
Chemical Engineering
Equivalent Engineering Discipline
Experience
6–12 years of industrial automation experience.
Experience in:
Water Treatment Plants (WTP)
Sewage Treatment Plants (STP)
Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP)
