Job Title: Sales Head – FMCG Commodity Brand

About the Role
The company is looking for an experienced and dynamic Sales Head to lead and expand sales operations for its wheat-based FMCG commodity products across Tamil Nadu and Kerala markets.
The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in B2B/Bulk Sales within flour mills, dhall, oil, sugar, or similar FMCG/commodity sectors, with strong expertise in managing high-volume business operations and distributor networks.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Business Growth
Develop and execute region-specific sales strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Identify and target high-potential B2B buyers including:
Bakeries
Hotels
Caterers
Vermicelli manufacturers
Wholesale traders
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets with consistent volume growth.
Expand market penetration across urban and semi-urban regions.
Customer & Channel Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with:
Bulk buyers
Flour agents
Institutional customers
Wholesale distributors
Drive customer acquisition and retention initiatives.
Handle large customer portfolios effectively.
Market Intelligence & Pricing
Monitor competitor activities and market pricing trends.
Analyze buyer behavior and regional demand patterns.
Implement strategies for competitive positioning and market expansion.
Operations & Coordination
Coordinate with production and logistics teams for timely deliveries.
Optimize inventory movement and logistics operations.
Reduce lead times and prevent stock shortages.
Team Leadership
Recruit, train, and manage Sales Officers and Territory Managers across Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Drive team performance and ensure achievement of business objectives.
Establish sales KPIs and monitor field execution.
Qualification & Experience
Educational Qualification
Graduate / MBA in Marketing or related field
Experience Required
Minimum 10+ years of experience in:
B2B Sales
Bulk Commodity Sales
FMCG Sales
Experience in industries such as:
Flour Mills
Dhall
Oil
Sugar
Commodity Trading
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of Tamil Nadu & Kerala markets
Proven ability to drive high-volume sales growth
Strong negotiation and networking skills
Experience handling business turnover of ₹200+ Crores
Understanding of:
Institutional distribution models
Credit management
Price-sensitive markets
Strong leadership and team management skills
