Job Summary

Dr. Aravind’s IVF Fertility Centre is seeking an experienced and dynamic Nursing Incharge to lead and supervise the nursing team while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compassionate, and patient-centered care throughout the fertility treatment journey.

The Nursing Incharge will oversee daily clinical operations, coordinate nursing services across IVF treatment areas, maintain compliance with clinical protocols, and support quality improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership abilities, excellent patient communication skills, and experience in managing nursing teams within a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Operations & Patient Care
Supervise and coordinate daily nursing activities across OPD, procedure rooms, and IVF treatment areas.
Ensure timely, safe, and compassionate nursing care during consultations, ultrasound scans, oocyte retrievals, embryo transfers, and other fertility-related procedures.
Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status throughout treatment cycles.
Administer medications, hormonal injections, and prescribed treatments accurately.
Provide post-procedure care and monitor patient recovery.
Educate patients regarding IVF treatment cycles, medication schedules, treatment protocols, and follow-up requirements.
Nursing Team Management
Lead, supervise, train, and mentor nursing staff to maintain clinical excellence and patient care standards.
Prepare duty rosters and manage staff scheduling to ensure adequate nursing coverage.
Allocate resources effectively across departments and treatment areas.
Conduct regular staff performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Identify training needs and coordinate professional development activities for nursing personnel.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Ensure all nursing activities comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), infection prevention protocols, and patient safety standards.
Maintain accurate nursing documentation, medication administration records, and procedural notes.
Support quality audits, accreditation processes, and compliance initiatives related to NABH, ICMR, and other regulatory requirements.
Monitor adherence to clinical policies and best practices.
Coordination & Communication
Serve as the primary liaison between doctors, embryologists, nursing staff, laboratory teams, and front-office personnel.
Facilitate smooth patient flow and efficient coordination of treatment schedules.
Participate in patient case discussions, cycle planning meetings, and multidisciplinary care reviews.
Ensure confidentiality and secure handling of patient information and medical records.
Patient Experience & Counseling
Address patient concerns and provide guidance throughout the fertility treatment process.
Promote a supportive, empathetic, and patient-focused care environment.
Assist in improving patient satisfaction and service quality initiatives.
Qualifications
Educational Qualification
GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery)
B.Sc Nursing
M.Sc Nursing
Registration
Valid State Nursing Council Registration
Experience
Minimum 5 years of nursing experience.
Experience in IVF, fertility, gynecology, obstetrics, or reproductive healthcare settings is preferred.
Prior supervisory or nursing leadership experience will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent patient communication and counseling skills.
Knowledge of IVF procedures, fertility treatments, and reproductive healthcare.
Familiarity with hormonal therapies, IVF medications, and injection administration.
Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control practices.
Proficiency in nursing documentation, EMR systems, and hospital software.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
