Job Description (JD): TIG/MIG Welder – Sheet Metal Fabrication

Job Title: TIG/MIG Welder
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Bangalore City, Karnataka

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated TIG/MIG Welder to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and experience or exposure to TIG/MIG welding, particularly on stainless steel and aluminium components. Freshers with welding skills and candidates with up to one year of experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
Perform TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel, aluminium, and sheet metal components.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication sketches, and work instructions.
Prepare materials by cutting, cleaning, measuring, aligning, and clamping before welding.
Fabricate, assemble, and weld components according to specifications.
Inspect welded joints to ensure quality, strength, and dimensional accuracy.
Perform grinding, finishing, and polishing of welded components.
Operate welding machines, cutting equipment, grinders, and measuring instruments safely.
Carry out routine maintenance of welding equipment.
Follow quality standards and workplace safety procedures.
Support fabrication and assembly teams when required.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
Qualifications
ITI Welder/Fitter or equivalent technical qualification is preferred.
Welding certification is an added advantage.
Experience
Freshers are welcome to apply.
0–1 year of experience in welding or sheet metal fabrication is preferred.
