Employment Type: Contract (6 Months + Extension)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced PHP Lead to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications for a leading MNC client. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in PHP frameworks, relational databases, RESTful APIs, and modern web technologies. This role also requires technical leadership, client interaction, and the ability to independently manage application development and deployment.

Key Responsibilities
Application Development
Design, develop, and maintain scalable PHP-based web applications.
Build and enhance applications using PHP frameworks such as Symfony, Laravel, Yii, or CodeIgniter.
Develop secure, reusable, and high-performance backend components.
Implement RESTful APIs for application integration.
Technical Leadership
Lead the development team by providing technical guidance and best practices.
Conduct code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and coding standards.
Mentor junior developers and support technical decision-making.
Estimate development effort and participate in sprint planning.
Front-End Integration
Collaborate with UI/UX teams to integrate frontend components.
Work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and modern frontend technologies.
Support responsive and cross-browser compatible web applications.
Database Management
Design and optimize relational databases.
Develop efficient SQL queries and stored procedures.
Maintain data integrity and optimize application performance.
Experience with MariaDB is an added advantage.
DevOps & Deployment
Deploy PHP applications to production environments.
Work with Docker containers and deployment pipelines.
Use Git-based version control systems for source code management.
Troubleshoot production issues and implement fixes.
Client & Team Collaboration
Interact directly with clients to understand requirements.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle.
Prepare technical documentation and project updates.
Ensure timely delivery of assigned milestones.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
9+ years of professional experience in PHP application development.
Experience leading development teams is preferred.
