About the Role

Adobe is seeking an experienced Director of Software Development to lead engineering teams within its Adobe Advertising business. This leadership role combines technical strategy, people management, and product delivery to build large-scale, AI-powered advertising platforms.

Adobe Advertising enables customers to plan, buy, measure, and optimize digital media campaigns across channels such as Connected TV (CTV), Online Video, Display, Search, Social Media, and Retail Media Networks. The platform processes approximately 400 billion ad auctions daily, delivers responses in around 20 milliseconds, and leverages AI/ML to help advertisers maximize campaign performance.

As a Director of Software Development, you will define technical vision, lead globally distributed engineering teams, drive innovation, collaborate with product and research organizations, and deliver highly scalable SaaS products.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
Define and execute the technical vision and engineering strategy.
Lead engineering teams in a hands-on capacity when needed.
Design and build high-scale, ultra-low-latency distributed systems.
Drive research and development initiatives to modernize existing architectures.
Promote engineering excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Establish software engineering best practices, coding standards, and agile methodologies.
Product Development
Own end-to-end product delivery from ideation through deployment.
Partner with Product Management to develop AI-powered assistive experiences.
Collaborate with Adobe Research, Product, Experience Design, Program Management, and Marketing teams.
Shape multi-year product and technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
Team Leadership
Recruit, mentor, and retain world-class engineering talent.
Build and lead high-performing, globally distributed engineering teams.
Foster a culture of collaboration, customer focus, agility, and innovation.
Coach engineering managers and senior technical leaders.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
Interact with enterprise customers to understand business challenges.
Translate customer feedback into product improvements.
Influence executive stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment.
Operational Excellence
Manage engineering execution, project scope, and delivery risks.
Utilize analytics and data-driven decision-making.

16+ years of software engineering experience.
