Job Summary

SystemsPlus is seeking a highly experienced Technical Architect – Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) to lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-grade eCommerce solutions.

The ideal candidate will define the architectural vision and engineering standards for scalable, secure, and high-performing digital commerce platforms while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to shape future-ready commerce ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities
SFCC Architecture & Development
Lead the architectural design of enterprise-grade eCommerce solutions on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC/Demandware).
Design and implement scalable, modular, and secure commerce architectures using SFRA and Headless Commerce principles.
Define and enforce best practices for:
SFCC customizations
Cartridge development
Controller logic
Business Manager configurations
Integration & Platform Engineering
Oversee integrations with third-party systems including:
Payment gateways
ERP systems
OMS
PIM platforms
Personalization engines
Marketing automation tools
Guide the implementation of composable commerce and decoupled architectures leveraging:
React
Next.js
REST APIs
GraphQL
DevOps & Performance Optimization
Collaborate with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to implement:
CI/CD pipelines
Deployment strategies
Performance monitoring tools
Monitor:
System reliability
Site speed
Uptime
Transaction flows in production
Lead root cause analysis and continuous optimization initiatives.
Security & Quality Assurance
Partner with QA and Security teams to ensure:
Robust testing practices
PCI-DSS compliance
Security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
Leadership & Mentorship
Conduct architecture and code reviews.
Mentor developers and technical teams.
Ensure adherence to engineering standards and architectural governance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
12+ years of software development experience.
Minimum 3+ years of experience architecting solutions on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC/Demandware).
Strong expertise in:
SFRA
ISML templates
OCAPI
SCAPI
Custom cartridge development
Experience with:
Headless commerce architecture
React / Angular frameworks
RESTful APIs
GraphQL
Strong understanding of:
Microservices
Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure preferred)
CI/CD practices
Scalable commerce architecture
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Master’s degree is a plus.
Certifications (Preferred)
Salesforce B2C Commerce Architect
SFCC Developer Certification
AWS / Azure certifications
