Role Overview
We are seeking experienced SoC/ASIC Digital Design Engineers specializing in Design for Test (DFT). The ideal candidate should possess deep expertise in scan insertion flows, compression scan technologies, MBIST, ATPG methodologies, and DFT verification/debugging for complex semiconductor designs.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and manage DFT insertion flows for SoC/ASIC designs.
Perform:
Scan chain insertion
Compression scan insertion
LBIST implementation
MBIST integration
Generate ATPG patterns and achieve target fault coverage metrics.
Debug ATPG simulation failures and improve test coverage.
Verify ATPG testbenches and analyze simulation mismatches.
Work with JTAG standards including:
IEEE 1149.1/1149.6
IEEE 1500
IEEE 1687
Collaborate with Architecture, Design, Verification, and Customer teams.
Independently drive DFT tasks in fast-paced project environments.
Support timing analysis and equivalence checking activities where required.
Required Skills & Expertise
8+ years of experience in SoC/ASIC Digital Design with strong DFT specialization.
Strong hands-on expertise in:
Scan insertion flows
MBIST
ATPG
Compression scan technologies
Verilog testbench debugging
Experience with DFT synthesis and verification tools.
Strong analytical and debugging capabilities.
Ability to work independently and in collaborative teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred / Bonus Skills
Knowledge of:
Timing analysis
Equivalence checking
Secure DFT methodologies
Experience in defense or classified projects.
Exposure to advanced SoC architectures and verification methodologies.
