Role Overview

The Senior Associate will manage the SOX and Internal Controls process and support special projects assigned by management. The role involves performing and documenting SOX walkthroughs, testing controls, identifying deficiencies, and recommending remediation.

Key Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end SOX and Internal Controls process.
Perform and document SOX walkthroughs and control testing.
Test operational effectiveness using sampling, observation, corroboration, and performance-based approaches.
Identify control deficiencies and communicate recommendations to process owners.
Maintain consistency and quality of SOX compliance activities.
Stay current with SOX guidelines and interpretations.
Plan audit scope and monitor project progress.
Prepare process-flow documents, test work, work papers, and audit deliverables.
Conduct financial and operational audits under Manager/Lead supervision.
Develop and execute audit test plans.
Document company process flows, policies, and controls.
Prepare SOX audit reports and recommend improvements.
Communicate audit status and findings to management.
Support the Controllers department with ad-hoc requests and presentations.
Identify opportunities to improve business processes and controls.
Lead or support special projects and new system implementations.
Collaborate with IT, FP&A, Accounting, and other functional teams.
Candidate Requirements
8+ years of experience in SOX Audit, Accounting, Finance, or Audit.
Internal Audit experience is an advantage.
Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to think strategically and from a broader business perspective.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Self-motivated and adaptable.
Team-oriented approach.
Ability to work in shifts, excluding night shifts.
