About the Role

TCS is seeking an experienced SAP BW Developer to join its Data & Analytics team. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in SAP BW development, data modeling, reporting, and production support. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining SAP BW solutions that support enterprise reporting and business intelligence requirements.

The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical teams to deliver scalable and efficient SAP BW solutions.

Key Responsibilities
SAP BW Development
Design, develop, and maintain SAP BW applications and data models.
Develop and optimize SAP BW data flows and extraction processes.
Implement best practices for SAP BW architecture and performance optimization.
Support enhancements and change requests across SAP BW environments.
Data Modeling & Data Flow Design
Design and develop SAP BW data models to meet business reporting requirements.
Create and maintain InfoProviders, DataSources, Transformations, DTPs, and Process Chains.
Ensure efficient data loading, transformation, and reporting processes.
SAP BW-IP Development
Develop and support SAP BW Integrated Planning (BW-IP) solutions.
Configure planning functions, planning sequences, and input-ready queries.
Collaborate with business users to implement planning and forecasting requirements.
Reporting & Analytics
Develop and maintain reports using SAP BEx Reporting tools.
Support reporting enhancements and performance improvements.
Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting solutions.
Production Support
Monitor and maintain SAP BW process chains.
Troubleshoot data load failures and reporting issues.
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Ensure system stability and timely issue resolution.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Understand the current SAP landscape and business processes.
Work closely with business users to gather and analyze requirements.
Communicate technical solutions effectively to stakeholders and project teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Mandatory Skills
Minimum 7 years of experience in SAP BW Development.
Strong expertise in:
SAP BW Data Flow Design
SAP BW Data Modeling
SAP BW-IP Development
SAP BEx Reporting Tools
Process Chain Monitoring
Production Support Activities
Ability to manage multiple tasks and high work volumes effectively.
Strong understanding of SAP BW architecture and data warehousing concepts.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Technical Expertise
SAP BW Data Extraction and Transformation.
InfoObjects, InfoProviders, DSO, ADSO, and Composite Providers.
Data Modeling and Reporting.
Query Design and Optimization.
Process Chain Administration and Monitoring.
Good-to-Have Skills
Knowledge of SAP BusinessObjects (BO) concepts.
Understanding of enterprise data flow and integration processes.
Experience in business intelligence and analytics environments.
Exposure to reporting and dashboarding tools.
