Job Summary
We are looking for a customer-focused and detail-oriented Retail Pharmacist to manage pharmacy operations, ensure accurate dispensing of medications, provide excellent customer service, and achieve sales and operational targets. The ideal candidate will maintain regulatory compliance, manage inventory efficiently, and contribute to business growth while delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Performance & Sales
Achieve daily sales targets across prescription medicines, private label products, generic medicines, high-margin categories, and diagnostics.
Promote pharmacy services and value-added healthcare products.
Conduct prescription reminder calls and follow up with dormant, lapsed, and high-value customers.
Review the commitment register and ensure timely order fulfillment and customer deliveries.
Omnichannel Order Management
Process online and omnichannel orders with 100% turnaround time (TAT) compliance.
Ensure zero order pushback and timely order processing.
Coordinate with delivery teams for seamless customer fulfillment.
Customer Service & Patient Care
Welcome customers professionally and provide a positive shopping experience.
Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate healthcare products.
Respond to customer inquiries received through phone calls and WhatsApp within the specified turnaround time.
Provide medication counseling, dosage instructions, storage guidance, and information on possible side effects.
Support home delivery services according to company policies and customer requirements.
Build long-term customer relationships through professional service and ethical pharmacy practices.
Inventory Management
Receive and verify daily inventory with 100% accuracy.
Organize medicines according to SKU and storage guidelines.
Monitor and remove expired, near-expiry, and damaged products.
Record returned and bounced stock accurately in the system.
Conduct daily physical inventory audits and maintain stock accuracy.
Ensure proper storage conditions, including cold chain management where applicable.
Compliance & Documentation
Maintain duplicate invoices and pharmacy records as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Update manual bills and sales transactions in the system.
Process sales returns after obtaining required approvals.
Prepare daily sales reports (DSR), cash reconciliation, and shift handover documentation.
Respond promptly to store-related emails and operational communications.
Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Store Operations & Visual Merchandising
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the pharmacy.
Ensure shelves are clean, organized, and stocked according to visual merchandising guidelines.
Display promotional materials, offers, and product information appropriately.
Monitor product availability and replenish stock as required.
Marketing & Customer Engagement
Promote ongoing offers, wellness programs, diagnostics, and home delivery services.
Participate in health camps, promotional events, and community outreach activities.
Support customer engagement initiatives to increase store footfall and customer retention.
Required Qualifications
D.Pharmacy / B.Pharmacy / M.Pharmacy.
Valid State Registered Pharmacist Certificate (preferred/mandatory as per regulatory requirements).
Experience
Retail pharmacy experience is preferred.
Freshers with strong communication skills and relevant qualifications may also be considered.
