Position Overview

Bharat Electronics Limited, a Navratna Company under the Ministry of Defence, is looking for Project Engineer-I professionals for its Naval Systems SBU in Bengaluru. The selected engineers will support the development, testing, integration, troubleshooting and documentation of electronic/mechanical systems for defence and naval applications.

Educational Qualification
Full-time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. Engineering – 4 years

55% and above for General/OBC/EWS candidates.
Pass Class for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
Part-time/correspondence qualifications are not eligible.
Experience
Minimum 2 years of relevant post-qualification industrial experience.
Academic, teaching and research experience will not be considered.
Relevant experience must be supported by employer-issued experience documents.
Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Development

Develop and test hardware and software modules.
Perform PCB-level, subsystem-level and system-level testing.
Troubleshoot hardware and system-level issues.
Support onboard activities at Naval Dockyards.
Prepare technical and engineering documentation.
Prepare AutoCAD 2D and 3D drawings and release drawings for production.
Preferred Skills – Electronics
Electronics system design and testing.
Hands-on knowledge of electronic testing tools.
Digital Signal Processing.
C/C++ and VHDL programming.
PCB, subsystem and system-level testing/troubleshooting.
Control-system design.
Network tools and socket programming.
MATLAB.
Technical and engineering documentation.
Preferred Skills – Mechanical
Strong understanding of basic mechanical design principles.
Familiarity with machine-design data books.
Hands-on AutoCAD experience.
3D modelling of mechanical systems using SolidWorks.
Assembly drawings, part drawings and drafting procedures.
Technical and engineering documentation.
Finite Element Analysis using ANSYS/ABAQUS.
Age Limit

Maximum age: 32 years as on 01.03.2022.

Age relaxation:

OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
SC/ST: 5 years
PwBD with 40% or more disability: 10 years, in addition to applicable category relaxation.
Remuneration
Contract Year Monthly Remuneration
1st Year ₹40,000
2nd Year ₹45,000
3rd Year ₹50,000
4th Year ₹55,000

The initial engagement is for 3 years, extendable by up to 1 additional year, subject to project requirements and individual performance.

An additional ₹12,000 per year is provided towards expenses such as insurance premium, attire allowance, stitching charges and footwear allowance.

Selection Process

Selection is based on a 100-mark evaluation:

BE/B.Tech/B.Sc. Engineering aggregate marks – 75 marks
Relevant post-qualification experience – 10 marks
Video-based interview – 15 marks

Candidates will be shortlisted for interview in a 1:5 ratio based on qualification and relevant experience.

Relevant experience certificates.
Current employment proof/offer letter, employee ID and latest payslip where required.
NOC for candidates employed with Government/PSU organisations.
SBI payment receipt, where applicable.
Separate write-up describing relevant post-qualification experience.
