Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Development Manager to lead projects from concept through development and readiness for execution. The role focuses on strategic planning, feasibility assessment, stakeholder engagement, business development, risk management, and project governance to ensure projects are commercially viable and aligned with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning
Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to align projects with business goals.
Develop project development strategies and execution roadmaps.
Project Development & Execution
Lead project development activities from inception to “shovel-ready” status.
Manage project timelines, milestones, and development deliverables.
Coordinate project feasibility studies, assessments, and approvals.
Budget & Resource Management
Prepare and consolidate project budget requirements.
Monitor development expenditures and financial performance.
Ensure efficient allocation and utilization of resources.
Risk Management
Identify technical, operational, commercial, and regulatory risks.
Develop risk mitigation and contingency plans.
Monitor project challenges and implement corrective actions.
Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
Manage stakeholder expectations and communication.
Facilitate discussions and negotiations with key project participants.
Business Development
Identify new business opportunities and market trends.
Develop customer relationships and strategic partnerships.
Prepare proposals, presentations, and project development plans to secure new projects.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Collaborate with Engineering, Finance, Legal, Procurement, Marketing, and Operations teams.
Ensure all project workstreams remain aligned with schedules and budgets.
Coordinate project reviews and decision-making processes.
Regulatory Compliance
Manage project-related approvals and regulatory requirements.
Prepare and submit applications, permits, reports, and supporting documentation.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, standards, and organizational policies.
Reporting & Governance
Prepare regular project status reports for leadership and stakeholders.
Present project progress, risks, and strategic recommendations.
Support executive and board-level reporting requirements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in:
Business Administration
Engineering
Science
Project Management
Related Discipline
Experience Required
Minimum 5+ Years of Project Development, Project Management, or Related Experience.
Proven track record of successfully managing project development initiatives.
Industry experience in construction, infrastructure, engineering, renewable energy, or related sectors preferred.
Preferred Certifications
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
Other Project Management certifications are an advantage.
