Job Summary

Unique Connections is looking for an experienced Product Engineering Head (Design) to lead Product Engineering, New Product Development (NPD), and Vendor Development activities. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in cable design, strong technical expertise, and proven leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

A. Vendor Development

Identify and evaluate vendors for finished cables and raw materials.

Conduct technical assessments of vendors.

Determine vendor capabilities and suitability.

Evaluate vendor products and manufacturing processes.

Guide and execute trial orders.

Standardize approved vendors.

B. Product Engineering

Lead the design and development of special products.

Conduct product analysis and develop new product features.

Guide the preparation of cable data sheets.

Develop costing for special products.

Provide technical inputs for offering special products to the Sales team.

Provide technical support to Sales.

C. New Product Development

Drive New Product Development based on market research.

Develop and introduce new products based on market requirements.

Lead the face-lift and improvement of existing products based on customer and market needs.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:

Chemical Technology, or

Polymer Technology

Experience Required

Minimum 15+ years of professional experience.

Extensive experience specifically in cable design is required.

Required Skills

Strong technical knowledge of cable design.

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Excellent leadership and team-management capabilities.

Strong vendor-development and product-engineering skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with Sales, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
