Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated IT Desktop Support Specialist to provide comprehensive desk-side support services for enterprise computing environments. The role involves supporting end-user devices, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing IT assets, coordinating equipment deployment, and ensuring seamless IT service delivery across customer locations.

The ideal candidate should have strong IT infrastructure exposure, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to provide high-quality customer support in a corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities
End-User Computing Support
Provide desk-side support for desktops, laptops, workstations, and peripheral devices.
Support public computing devices and third-party supplied equipment.
Resolve incidents and service requests related to end-user computing environments.
Hardware & Software Management
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and approved software applications.
Manage software installations, upgrades, registrations, and activations.
Perform device driver updates, firmware updates, and factory resets when required.
Ensure systems operate efficiently and securely.
Troubleshooting & Incident Resolution
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and peripheral issues.
Troubleshoot desktop operating system failures and application-related problems.
Coordinate hardware repairs with vendors and third-party suppliers.
Assist users in creating and tracking support tickets.
Asset Management & Equipment Lifecycle
Deploy new computer equipment for new employees.
Replace obsolete or faulty systems.
Inspect, manage, and recycle expired equipment.
Maintain inventory records and coordinate equipment logistics.
Minimize unnecessary transportation and handling of IT assets.
Service Request Management
Support requests assigned by Service Desk and backend IT teams.
Coordinate on-site technical visits and support schedules.
Obtain user confirmations upon issue resolution.
Provide timely updates to Service Coordinators regarding incident closures.
Data Backup & Recovery
Perform data backup activities during system replacements.
Ensure compliance with customer data retention policies.
Coordinate data recovery efforts with third-party specialists when required.
Securely store replaced equipment according to organizational policies.
Documentation & Compliance
Document software additions, removals, and configuration changes.
Maintain records according to organizational policies and standards.
Guide users toward approved documentation and self-service resources.
Ensure adherence to IT governance and operational procedures.
