Job Description – MI/IT Engineer (Pharma IT)

Job Title: MI/IT Engineer (Manufacturing IT / Pharma IT)
Location: Bangalore (Electronic City)
Experience: 2–6 Years (Pharma IT / Plant IT / QC-IT)
Qualification: Diploma or Graduate

Key Responsibilities
Administer manufacturing equipment and computerized systems in a pharmaceutical environment.
Perform user management activities including user ID creation, modification, and deactivation.
Manage data backup, restoration, archival procedures, and recovery processes.
Conduct periodic review and verification of user privileges.
Prepare and maintain active user lists for manufacturing systems.
Perform preventive maintenance (PM) of manufacturing equipment and computerized systems.
Ensure periodic time synchronization across manufacturing systems.
Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and system-related issues.
Support Quality Management System (QMS) activities including:
Change Control
CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions)
Deviations
Incident Management
Maintain documentation in compliance with pharmaceutical standards.
Required Skills
Experience in Pharma IT, Plant IT, or QC-IT environments.
Knowledge of:
Manufacturing Equipment and Computerized Systems
Data Backup & Restoration
User Access Management
Preventive Maintenance
Windows-based system troubleshooting
Understanding of pharmaceutical compliance standards:
21 CFR Part 11
GAMP
GDP
GMP
cGMP
ALCOA
Data Integrity principles
Basic knowledge of Computerized System Validation (CSV).
Familiarity with manufacturing automation systems:
HMI
PLC
SCADA
Industrial PCs (IPC)
Preferred Qualifications
2–6 years of experience in Pharma Manufacturing IT.
Experience supporting regulated manufacturing environments.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and coordinate with production, QA, QC, and IT teams.
