Job Summary

SAP is looking for a Software Development Operations Engineer to join the SAP SuccessFactors (HCM) Database Cloud Operations Team. The team manages large-scale cloud databases across multiple platforms including SAP HANA, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL, ensuring high availability, scalability, and operational excellence.

The role involves supporting enterprise-scale cloud database environments, automating operational processes, collaborating with global teams, and adopting modern database technologies to improve efficiency and business value.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain large-scale cloud database environments.
Support SAP HANA, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL database platforms.
Monitor database health, availability, and performance.
Perform database administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Participate in cloud infrastructure operations and production support.
Automate operational workflows and routine database tasks.
Ensure database security, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery readiness.
Collaborate with global operations teams located in:
Bangalore
Budapest
Reston (USA)
Analyze production issues and implement permanent solutions.
Improve operational efficiency through automation and new technologies.
Support cloud service reliability and scalability initiatives.
Participate in testing and deployment activities.
Follow SAP operational standards and best practices.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
