Job Description – Engineers / Checkers (Structural Steel)

Position: Engineers / Checkers
Location: Mysore / Bangalore, Karnataka
Experience: 2–10 years
Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering
Industry: Structural Steel
Compensation: As per industry standards

Key Responsibilities
Read and analyze structural steel contract drawings.
Identify and document mismatched, incomplete, or missing information.
Apply relevant AISC, BS, and BIS standards.
Prepare engineering input documents.
Check structural steel fabrication and erection drawings.
Review and correct drawings using Trimble Tekla 3D models.
Work with different structural steel shapes and profiles.
Visualize fabrication and erection issues and recommend practical alternative solutions.
Coordinate effectively with engineering and project teams.
Work collaboratively in a flexible team environment.
Ensure engineering deliverables are completed according to project schedules.
Ideal Candidate

Candidates should have strong structural-steel engineering knowledge, drawing-reading and checking skills, and preferably hands-on experience with Tekla Structures. The role suits Civil or Mechanical Engineers/Diploma holders with 2–10 years of structural steel industry experience.
