Job Overview

Sapiens is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join its Bangalore team within the Property & Casualty division. The selected candidate will contribute to the design, development, maintenance, and support of IDIT insurance enterprise software using J2EE technologies.

The role involves translating business requirements into technical specifications, developing and testing software changes, estimating delivery timelines, and providing post-implementation production support.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in the design, development, and maintenance of IDIT insurance enterprise software.

Analyze business requirements and translate them into system-level and programming-level design specifications.

Estimate development effort and delivery timelines for software changes.

Develop and implement software solutions using J2EE technologies.

Work with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot frameworks.

Perform unit testing and other relevant testing activities.

Provide post-implementation support and troubleshoot production issues.

Analyze technical problems and implement appropriate solutions.

Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to deliver reliable software.

Maintain code quality and follow established development practices.

Required Qualifications and Skills

B.E. or equivalent qualification.

3–5 years of experience in J2EE technologies.

Experience in JEE, Spring, and Spring Boot programming.

Knowledge of the following technologies:

Java

JSP

Apache Velocity

Struts

Hibernate

Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB)

AJAX

Java 6

Familiarity with relational databases and database concepts.

Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.

Good analytical, conceptual, and mathematical skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and collaborate effectively.

Preferred / Advantageous Skills

Microservices architecture.

Event-driven programming.

Kubernetes.

Experience with enterprise software applications.

Exposure to financial, healthcare, or insurance processing systems.
