Job Summary
Instrumentation and Control Solutions (ICS) is seeking experienced IT Desktop Support Engineers to provide technical support for Manufacturing IT (MFG-IT), Plant IT, and Quality Control IT (QC-IT) systems within a regulated pharmaceutical environment. The role requires expertise in desktop support, user administration, backup management, and compliance with pharmaceutical IT standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Desktop & End-User Support
Provide L1/L2 desktop support for end users in manufacturing and laboratory environments.
Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and network-related issues.
Support business-critical applications used in manufacturing and quality control.
Manufacturing & Plant IT Support
Support Manufacturing IT (MFG-IT), Plant IT, and QC-IT infrastructure.
Ensure smooth operation of IT systems used in production and laboratory environments.
Coordinate with business users to resolve technical issues with minimal downtime.
Maintain system availability for manufacturing operations.
User Management
Create, modify, disable, and manage user accounts.
Assign and maintain user access permissions.
Perform password resets and account administration.
Ensure compliance with organizational access control policies.
Backup & Data Restoration
Perform backup management activities.
Monitor scheduled backup jobs and verify successful completion.
Execute data restoration activities when required.
Ensure backup integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
Asset & Inventory Management
Maintain accurate records of IT assets.
Track desktop, laptop, and peripheral inventory.
Maintain software licensing and hardware lifecycle information.
Compliance & Documentation
Follow Pharmaceutical IT Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
Maintain documentation for audits, validation, and inspections.
Support compliance initiatives within regulated environments.
Application Support
Support Empower Software and other manufacturing applications.
Troubleshoot application-related issues.
Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for application support.

Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP5, CSV, and pharmaceutical compliance.
Experience with Empower Software.
Understanding of IT SOPs and regulated IT environments.
Experience supporting critical manufacturing systems.
