Hiring: Chief Architect / Overall Technical Lead – Mission Systems

📍 Location: Bangalore (with travel to Army / DPSU sites)

🧩 Role Overview

We are building a Unified Mission Planning & Debriefing System (U-MPDS) for Indian Army helicopter platforms—deployed across multiple operational units on secure, air-gapped networks, and aligned with defence certification standards.

We are looking for a Chief Architect / Overall Technical Lead to own the end-to-end system architecture—from mission planning algorithms and simulation integration to cybersecurity, deployment topology, and certification readiness.

This is a hands-on leadership role, not a people-only position.

🔧 Key Responsibilities
🏗️ System Architecture & Ownership
Define and own end-to-end architecture (offline-first, federated deployment)
Drive design across:
Mission planning
Simulation / rehearsal
Multi-sensor debrief
Secure data synchronization
Ensure scalability across multiple Army units and command nodes
🧭 Mission Planning & Domain Logic
Architect navigation, routing, terrain, threat & performance logic
Ensure determinism, traceability, and correctness of computations
Review and approve mission-critical algorithms
🔐 Security & Deployment
Define RBAC, encryption, signing, audit logging
Design secure sync & update strategies (USB / LAN / controlled WAN)
Ensure zero dependency on external networks
Collaborate with cybersecurity stakeholders
📜 Certification & Compliance
Act as technical authority for:
Defence design reviews (IMTAR / DPSU)
Architecture reviews & certification audits
Support:
FRD / ICD documentation
Compliance and system justification
🧑‍💻 Technical Leadership
Mentor teams across:
Backend
GIS / Simulation
Integration
Drive:
Design reviews
Code quality & test strategies
Risk identification & mitigation
🔗 Integration & Ecosystem
Lead integration with:
Avionics / mission systems
Simulation engines
Debrief tools & export systems
Ensure clean interfaces and extensibility
🎯 Required Qualifications
✅ Must-Have
12+ years in aerospace / defence / mission systems / simulation
Experience as:
System Architect / Technical Lead / Chief Engineer
Strong programming expertise:
C++ (modern) / Java / Python
Experience with:
Air-gapped / secure system deployments
Deterministic system design
Modular monolith / large-scale system architecture
⭐ Strongly Preferred
Mission planning systems / flight simulators (FFS / FTD / PTT)
Defence ground systems experience
GIS / mapping (DTED, raster/vector)
Simulation / terrain engines
Exposure to IMTAR / CEMILAC / defence certification
Experience working with Armed Forces / DPSUs
