Job Summary

S M Engineering Works is seeking experienced and skilled Welder Fabricators to join its manufacturing and fabrication team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding, fabrication, assembly, and finishing of metal components and machinery parts while ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
Welding & Fabrication
Perform welding and fabrication of metal components and machinery parts.
Prepare materials, align components, and clamp parts prior to welding.
Execute welding operations according to technical drawings and specifications.
Ensure strong, accurate, and high-quality welds.
Blueprint & Drawing Interpretation
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and fabrication layouts.
Understand welding symbols and specifications.
Follow dimensional requirements and fabrication standards.
Equipment & Tool Maintenance
Maintain welding machines, tools, and fabrication equipment in good working condition.
Conduct routine checks and report equipment issues promptly.
Ensure proper handling and storage of tools and consumables.
Fabrication Support
Assist fabrication teams with fitting, grinding, cutting, and finishing activities.
Support assembly and installation of fabricated structures and components.
Ensure finished products meet quality and dimensional requirements.
Safety & Compliance
Follow EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) policies and procedures.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

ITI Welder / Fitter or equivalent qualification is an advantage
Experience Required
Minimum 3 to 5 Years of Industrial Welding Experience
Experience in fabrication and machinery component welding preferred
Candidate Profile
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Familiarity with fabrication tools and measuring instruments.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Strong attention to quality, safety, and workmanship.
