Job Description
Staff Nurse – Homecare
Position: Staff Nurse (Homecare)
Work Type: Full-Time
Work Location: Home Visits (In-person)
Qualifications
ANM / GNM / DGNM / B.Sc Nursing (typically preferred for homecare roles)
Valid nursing registration preferred
Experience in patient care, homecare, ICU, ward, or community nursing is advantageous
Key Responsibilities
Patient Assessment & Care Planning
Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments in patients’ homes.
Develop and implement individualized care plans.
Evaluate patient progress and modify care plans as required.
Clinical Care
Administer medications and prescribed treatments.
Monitor patient condition and vital signs.
Report changes in patient status to physicians or supervisors.
Perform nursing procedures such as:
Wound care
Catheter care
IV therapy
Injection administration
Basic nursing interventions
Patient & Caregiver Education
Educate patients and caregivers about:
Disease management
Medication administration
Nutrition and lifestyle modifications
Home safety and self-care techniques
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate clinical records and reports.
Ensure compliance with nursing standards and healthcare regulations.
Document treatments, assessments, and patient outcomes.
Safety & Infection Control
Follow infection prevention and control protocols.
Ensure patient safety within the home environment.
Identify and address potential risks.
Collaboration & Support
Coordinate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
Provide emotional support to patients and families.
Assist families in accessing healthcare and community resources.
Work Environment
Home visits across different residential locations.
