Job Title: Surgery Coding Specialist (IP/OP – E&M)

Experience: 1 to 6 Years
Locations: Hyderabad | Coimbatore | Mumbai
Work Mode: Full-time (Work from Office)

Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Surgery Coding Specialist with experience in medical coding, preferably with exposure to Gastroenterology and Anesthesia. The role involves reviewing medical records and assigning accurate medical codes based on standard coding guidelines and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Retrieve and review medical records for Inpatient (IP) and Outpatient (OP) Surgery and E&M services
Ensure completeness and accuracy of documentation, including:
Provider signatures
Diagnostic test orders
Clinical notes and supporting records
Assign appropriate codes using:
CPT (Current Procedural Terminology)
ICD-10-CM (Diagnosis Coding)
HCPCS Level II
Applicable modifiers
Ensure compliance with client-specific guidelines and regulatory standards
Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Maintain required accuracy and productivity targets
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve coding queries
Required Qualifications:
1–6 years of experience in Surgery Coding
Exposure to Gastroenterology and/or Anesthesia preferred
Strong knowledge of:
Anatomy
Medical terminology
Coding guidelines (CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS)
Certification such as CPC / CCS is desirable
Work Requirement:
Candidates must be willing to work full-time in-office at:

Coimbatore
