Aravind Medical Research Foundation (AMRF) is a multidisciplinary research institute recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Government of India. The institute conducts advanced research in vision science with the objective of reducing the burden of blindness through innovative scientific discoveries. AMRF is also recognized for Ph.D. programs by multiple universities.

Job Summary

The selected candidates will work in the Department of Microbiology under an ICMR-funded research project involving rapid molecular diagnostics and metagenomic sequencing for microbial characterization in endophthalmitis.

Key Responsibilities
Assist in microbiology laboratory research activities.
Support molecular diagnostic testing and analysis.
Participate in metagenomic sequencing workflows.
Collect, process, and analyze biological samples.
Maintain laboratory records and research documentation.
Ensure compliance with laboratory protocols and quality standards.
Coordinate with project investigators and research teams.
Assist in data collection, interpretation, and reporting.
Perform other project-related research activities as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Candidates should possess any one of the following:

Three-year Graduate Degree in a relevant subject/field plus
Three years of post-qualification experience

OR

Postgraduate Degree in a relevant subject/field

OR

Graduate of a Professional Course in a relevant discipline
