Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Welding Supervisor to oversee and coordinate all welding operations at the workshop or project site. The ideal candidate will ensure welding activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with applicable industry standards, project specifications, and quality requirements.

The role involves supervising welders, monitoring workmanship, maintaining production schedules, enforcing safety procedures, and supporting continuous improvement in quality and productivity.

Key Responsibilities
Welding Operations & Supervision
Supervise and coordinate daily welding operations and welding personnel
Assign tasks and monitor workflow to ensure timely project completion
Ensure welding activities comply with company policies, client specifications, and industry standards such as:
ASME
AWS
ISO
Review and implement:
Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
Procedure Qualification Records (PQR)
Welder Performance Qualifications (WPQ)
Quality Control
Monitor weld quality through inspection and testing methods including:
Visual Inspection
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
Ensure materials, welding consumables, and equipment meet project requirements
Maintain records of welding activities, repairs, inspections, and welder performance
Safety & Compliance
Enforce workplace safety policies and health regulations
Ensure proper use of PPE and safe welding practices
Promote a safe and organized working environment
Coordination & Training
Coordinate with production, engineering, and quality control departments
Provide guidance, technical support, and training to welders and support staff
Support productivity improvement and continuous process enhancement initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong knowledge of welding processes, fabrication standards, and inspection methods
Familiarity with ASME, AWS, ISO, and welding quality standards
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols
Experience handling welding documentation and records
Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
Knowledge of welding safety practices and regulations
Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities in welding operations
Experience
Relevant experience in welding supervision, fabrication, or industrial manufacturing preferred
