Job Summary

Achievers Spot is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Medical Coders to join its healthcare team in Chennai. The role involves converting patient medical records into standardized medical codes while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and quality in medical documentation. Candidates with strong analytical skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and excellent communication abilities are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
Review patient medical records and clinical documentation for completeness and accuracy.
Assign appropriate ICD, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on diagnoses, procedures, and treatments.
Ensure coding accuracy in accordance with healthcare regulations and coding guidelines.
Verify documentation to support assigned medical codes.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information and medical records.
Identify documentation deficiencies and coordinate with healthcare providers when clarification is required.
Ensure compliance with coding standards, insurance requirements, and organizational policies.
Meet productivity and quality targets while maintaining coding accuracy.
Participate in coding audits, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing training.
Maintain updated knowledge of coding regulations and healthcare industry standards.
Required Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Paramedical, Nursing, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, or other relevant healthcare disciplines (preferred).
Experience
