Job Description: DevOps Engineer (Coimbatore)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to manage and optimize our software delivery lifecycle, cloud infrastructure, and Linux environments. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in CI/CD, configuration management, cloud platforms, automation, and scripting, with a passion for building scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain Configuration Management, Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment (CD), and Release Management processes.
Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS or Azure.
Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using modern DevOps tools.
Automate deployment, infrastructure provisioning, and operational tasks using scripting languages such as Python, Java, or Perl.
Administer Linux servers and troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues.
Manage application deployments, patches, updates, and rollback strategies.
Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth software releases.
Monitor system performance, availability, and security while implementing best practices for infrastructure reliability.
Maintain documentation for deployment processes, infrastructure, and operational procedures.
Required Skills
Minimum 7 years of experience in:
DevOps Engineering
Linux Administration
Configuration Management
Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
Release Management
Cloud Infrastructure
Strong experience with AWS or Microsoft Azure.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools (such as Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, or similar).
Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language:
Python
Java
Perl
Strong understanding of cloud architecture, automation, and deployment strategies.
Experience with source code management and version control systems.
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure) are an added advantage.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and container orchestration is preferred.
Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools is desirable.
