CNC Machinist – Job Description
Role: CNC Machinist / CNC Operator-Setter
Location: Anna Silai, Coimbatore
Experience: 1–3 years
Qualification: ITI Machinist / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Employment: Full-time, Monday–Saturday, in-person
Shifts: Day & Night shifts
Key Responsibilities
Program, set up, and operate CNC Turning Centers.
Read and interpret engineering/technical drawings.
Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, speeds, and feeds based on the material.
Perform first-off inspection and inspect finished components for quality.
Assemble components and verify their correct operation.
Chamfer and wire-brush components to remove swarf and minor burrs.
Complete work-order documentation and maintain CNC program records.
Set up and operate automatic saws.
Support other production activities required for smooth factory operations.
Required Skills
Hands-on experience in CNC programming, setting, and operating turning centers.
Good knowledge of engineering drawings and machining processes.
Knowledge of tooling and fixturing selection.
Understanding of speeds and feeds.
Experience with first-off inspection and quality checking.
Good numerical and technical understanding.
Ability to work independently and maintain production/quality standards.
