Job Summary

Vedanayagam Hospital is seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented Cashier to handle billing and payment transactions while delivering excellent customer service. The role involves processing payments, maintaining accurate records, balancing cash, and assisting patients and visitors with payment-related queries.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
Provide courteous, friendly, and professional service.
Assist customers with billing and payment-related queries.
Resolve customer concerns promptly.
Billing & Payment Processing
Scan and itemize purchases or services accurately.
Process cash, cheque, card, and other approved payment methods.
Apply discounts and price changes where applicable.
Process return or refund transactions when required.
Cash Handling
Operate the cash register efficiently.
Maintain cash drawer accuracy.
Count cash at the beginning and end of each shift.
Ensure proper cash reconciliation.
Record Management
Record prices, taxable and non-taxable items.
Maintain transaction records accurately.
Verify payment details where necessary.
Qualification
Any educational qualification.
Previous cashier experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience
Freshers can apply.
Prior cashier or billing experience is an added advantage.
