Role Overview

SARVAM Logistics is looking for an experienced and dynamic Assistant Manager – Operations to manage Export & Import shipment coordination, freight forwarding activities, and customs clearance operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong operational knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to handle customer and stakeholder relationships effectively.

Key Responsibilities
Freight Forwarding & Operations
Manage end-to-end Export and Import shipment operations.
Coordinate freight forwarding activities efficiently with internal and external stakeholders.
Handle Air Freight, Sea Freight, and Customs Clearance operations.
Customs & Compliance
Supervise customs clearance processes and documentation.
Coordinate with customs authorities, airlines, and shipping lines.
Ensure compliance with logistics and customs regulations.
Customer Management
Guide customers in shipment planning and execution.
Understand customer requirements and provide operational support.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Team Management
Lead and manage the operations team effectively.
Develop team-building and leadership capabilities.
Handle critical operational situations and escalations professionally.
Project & Reporting
Support project planning and execution activities.
Prepare operational reports and maintain communication records.
Deliver presentations and negotiate with stakeholders when required.
Required Qualifications
Graduate in any discipline.
Fluency in English and the local language.
Valid G Card or F Card certification.
Minimum 5 years of experience in:
Freight Forwarding
Logistics Operations
Customs Clearance
Preferred Candidate Profile
Experience with reputed logistics or freight forwarding companies preferred.
Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
Good communication and report-writing abilities.
Ability to manage teams and operational challenges effectively.
