Position: Web Designer

Job Overview

A Web Designer is responsible for creating and maintaining websites, including their design, layout, and coding. The role may involve developing new websites or updating existing websites to improve functionality, usability, and visual appeal.

Key Responsibilities

Create website designs and layouts.

Develop sample websites and prototypes.

Meet with clients to understand requirements and discuss project progress.

Present draft websites and incorporate client feedback.

Stay updated with the latest technological and software developments.

Develop skills in relevant programming and design technologies, including HTML and JavaScript.

Create websites that are user-friendly, effective, and visually appealing.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Manage project deadlines and work additional hours when required.

Qualifications

A degree in any discipline is acceptable.

Degrees in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields may be preferred by employers.

Computing experience or a postgraduate IT conversion course can be beneficial for candidates without a relevant degree.

Candidates should be able to provide links to or demonstrations of web pages they have created.
