Role Overview

Design and implement advanced wireless communication waveforms for defence applications.
Develop FHSS and FHSS-OFDM waveforms and implement them on TI DSP platforms.
Work closely with RF engineers to integrate baseband waveforms with RF hardware.

Key Responsibilities

Develop FHSS waveform with 500 hops/sec, QPSK, targeting 2 Mbps half-duplex operation.
Develop FHSS-OFDM with 64 subcarriers for full-duplex transmission over 5 MHz bandwidth.
Port MATLAB waveform simulations to DSP platforms such as C55x and C6748.
Optimize implementations to approximately 20–50 MFLOPS.
Implement and test waveforms on TI DSPs.
Ensure waveform synchronization.
Integrate waveforms with RF hardware including HackRF and AD9361.
Collaborate with RF and other engineering teams to deliver rugged wireless systems.

Required Skills

7+ years in physical-layer design and baseband processing for wireless systems.
Strong knowledge of FHSS, OFDM and QPSK.
MATLAB and C programming.
Hands-on experience with TI DSPs (C55x/C6748).
TI Code Composer Studio expertise.
Knowledge of RF systems in the 350–450 MHz range.
Understanding of defence-grade anti-jamming technologies.
Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
WPC/DoT regulations knowledge is an advantage.
