Position: Tool Design Engineer
Location: Veerapandi, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu
Experience: 3–5 Years
Qualification: B.E. Mechanical / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹35,000 per month
Notice Period: Immediate joiners / Up to 15 days

Job Summary

We are looking for a technically strong and analytical Tool Design Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in tool design and manufacturing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on knowledge of High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) tool design, strong proficiency in SolidWorks and NX, and a good understanding of manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) tools based on product and manufacturing requirements.
Create and modify detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks and NX.
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical requirements accurately.
Develop tool designs considering manufacturability, functionality and production requirements.
Apply knowledge of die casting and associated manufacturing processes during tool development.
Review existing designs and identify opportunities for improvement.
Coordinate with manufacturing and production teams to ensure tool designs are practical and production-ready.
Troubleshoot tool-design and manufacturing-related issues.
Ensure design deliverables meet required quality, dimensional and technical standards.
Maintain proper engineering drawings and design documentation.
Support design modifications and continuous improvement activities.
Required Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of Tool Design.
Hands-on experience in High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) tool design.
Proficiency in:
SolidWorks
NX
Good understanding of manufacturing processes.
Strong drawing reading and interpretation skills.
Good knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
Strong technical, engineering, logical and analytical abilities.
Good problem-solving skills.
Educational Qualification
B.E. / B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering, or
Diploma – Mechanical Engineering
Experience
3–5 years of relevant experience in tool design/manufacturing.
Experience in HPDC tool design will be highly preferred.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be technically sound, detail-oriented and capable of independently understanding engineering requirements and converting them into practical tool designs. Strong analytical thinking and good coordination with manufacturing teams are essential.
