Job Summary

Vayil Construction is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Design Engineer to support the development of efficient, aesthetically appealing and technically sound designs for construction projects.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with AutoCAD and Lumion, strong knowledge of structural design principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with architects, civil engineers and project managers.

Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed 2D and 3D designs for construction projects using AutoCAD, Lumion and other relevant design tools.
Prepare detailed technical drawings, layouts, blueprints and design documentation.
Translate client requirements into practical and efficient design solutions.
Collaborate with architects, civil engineers and project managers to develop and refine project designs.
Ensure designs comply with applicable safety requirements, technical standards and project specifications.
Conduct regular site visits to assess design implementation and identify discrepancies between drawings and site conditions.
Provide technical inputs and design modifications based on site requirements.
Review and improve designs to enhance functionality, aesthetics and construction efficiency.
Maintain accurate design documentation and incorporate revisions as required.
Stay updated on industry trends, construction technologies and modern design practices.
Identify design-related issues and develop practical solutions.
Support project teams throughout the design and execution stages.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in:
Civil Engineering
Architecture
Related discipline
2–3 years of relevant experience in construction design.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Lumion.
Knowledge of other relevant design software is an advantage.
