Senior Electrical Design Engineer – NV5
Location: Bangalore
Work Model: Primarily office-based; hybrid option twice a month
Department: Electrical
Experience: 7–10+ years in electrical design consultancy
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Industry Focus: Data centers, commercial, financial & banking projects
Salary: Competitive

Key Responsibilities:

Design power distribution, lighting, control and telecommunications systems
Prepare BOD, cable schedules, load calculations, SLDs, schematics and layouts
Design lighting, power, cable tray, earthing and equipment layouts
Specify transformers, generators, UPS, STS, ATS, capacitors and LV/MV switchgear
Prepare BOQs and cost estimates
Coordinate with architects, civil/structural/MEP teams and clients
Review designs and ensure compliance with NBC, IS, IEEE, IEC and client standards
Liaise with AHJ/CEIG/local power authorities
Participate in client/project meetings and provide technical guidance

Required/Preferred Technical Skills:

Strong electrical system and power-distribution design
EHV/HV systems and GIS substations
CAD and Dialux
Data-center standards: TIA, Uptime, ASHRAE TC 9.9, IEEE
BIM, AMTECH, PSCAD, SKM, ETAP – advantageous
Certifications such as CDCP, CDCS, ATD – advantageous
Strong client-facing communication and project-management skills
