🔧 Role Overview
We are looking for a Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Machine Operator to join our electronics manufacturing team.
The selected candidate will be responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining SMT equipment while ensuring accurate placement of surface-mount components on Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and maintaining required quality standards.
⚙️ Key Responsibilities
Machine Setup & Calibration
• Set up and calibrate SMT machines according to production requirements and engineering specifications
• Load solder paste, component reels, and other required consumables
• Verify machine settings before starting production
Production Operation
• Operate SMT machines for accurate component placement on PCBs
• Monitor machine performance throughout production
• Make necessary real-time adjustments to optimize productivity and quality
• Follow production schedules and standard operating procedures
Quality Control
• Conduct visual inspections of completed PCB assemblies
• Identify component-placement and soldering defects
• Coordinate with the Quality Control team to resolve production issues
• Ensure assemblies meet required quality standards
Machine Maintenance
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on SMT equipment
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues
• Escalate major technical problems to the maintenance team
• Maintain machines in optimal operating condition
Documentation
• Maintain accurate production logs
• Record machine maintenance activities
• Document deviations from SOPs and report issues promptly
• Complete required production documentation on time
🤝 Team Collaboration
• Work closely with production teams, engineers, and supervisors
• Support process optimization and production improvement initiatives
• Provide feedback regarding machine performance and recurring issues
• Suggest improvements to increase productivity and efficiency
🎓 Training & Development
• Stay updated on advancements in SMT technology
• Participate in relevant training programs
• Support the training and mentoring of new SMT machine operators
• Follow all safety and quality procedures
🎯 Candidate Profile
✔ 0–2+ years of experience in SMT / electronics manufacturing
✔ Freshers can also apply
✔ Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail
✔ Ability to operate and monitor manufacturing equipment
✔ Good understanding of electronics assembly processes is an advantage
✔ Commitment to quality and production standards
✔ Good teamwork and communication skills
