HIRING – CIVIL FIELD SUPERVISOR | OFC OPERATIONS
🏗️ Position: Civil Field Supervisor – Optical Fiber Cable (OFC)
📍 Locations: Annanagar | Santhome | Pallikarnai, Chennai | Coimbatore
💼 Job Type: Full-Time
☀️ Shift: Day Shift
🏢 Work Mode: In Person / Field Work
💼 Experience: 6+ Months in OFC Fieldwork
🎓 Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Electronics, Civil, or related field
📡 Role Overview
We are looking for a Civil Field Supervisor to oversee Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) laying, routing, restoration, and troubleshooting activities across assigned locations.
The selected candidate will be responsible for field operations, safety compliance, workforce coordination, material management, and smooth execution of OFC-related activities.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
• Supervise OFC laying, routing, and troubleshooting activities
• Manage materials and maintain vehicle MIS
• Maintain daily attendance and workforce sign-offs
• Ensure 100% safety compliance as per Airtel policies
• Handle site restoration activities
• Manage drop cable and OTB changes
• Coordinate with local authorities for network protection and smooth execution
• Liaise with infrastructure partners to safeguard OFC cables
• Ensure 12×7 availability with required vehicle and labour support
• Monitor field teams and ensure timely completion of assigned work
🎯 Candidate Requirements
✔ Minimum 6+ months of OFC fieldwork experience
✔ ITI / Diploma in Electronics, Civil, or related field
✔ Good knowledge of OFC field operations
✔ Ability to manage field teams and labour
✔ Good coordination and communication skills
✔ English – Speaking, Reading & Writing required
✔ Willingness to work in field operations
✔ Ability to handle site-related responsibilities independently
👷 Labour Requirement
The selected candidate will also be responsible for arranging 4 Civil Labourers.
💰 Civil Labour Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹18,000/month
