Job Summary
Achievers Spot is hiring Medical Coders to convert patient health information into standardized alphanumeric medical codes used for healthcare documentation, insurance claims, billing, and reimbursement. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, along with excellent analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Review patient medical records and clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for diagnoses, procedures, and treatments.
Convert patient health information into standardized medical codes for billing and insurance claims.
Ensure coding complies with healthcare regulations, coding standards, and company policies.
Verify supporting documentation before assigning codes.
Maintain confidentiality of patient records and medical information.
Identify documentation discrepancies and seek clarification when necessary.
Achieve coding quality and productivity targets.
Stay updated with changes in medical coding guidelines and industry regulations.
Work effectively with healthcare professionals and internal teams.
