Job Summary

Red Education is seeking a Senior Python Support Engineer with strong Windows Server Administration, VMware virtualization, and Python automation expertise to support and maintain global virtual training lab environments. The ideal candidate will manage Windows-based lab infrastructure, troubleshoot virtualization and networking issues, automate operational tasks using Python, and provide technical support for trainers and learners worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
Windows System Administration
Provision, configure, monitor, and maintain Windows Server lab environments.
Administer Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 environments.
Manage Active Directory infrastructure and user authentication.
Configure and troubleshoot Group Policy Objects (GPO).
Support Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) access and Windows networking.
Manage Windows-based services, domain controllers, firewalls, and management consoles.
Configure access permissions and security policies.
VMware Virtualization
Create, clone, snapshot, and manage virtual machines.
Administer VMware ESXi and VMware vCenter environments.
Monitor virtual infrastructure performance and availability.
Troubleshoot virtualization-related issues.
Maintain scalable virtual lab environments.
Linux Administration
Support Linux virtual machines including:
Ubuntu
Red Hat Enterprise Linux
CentOS
Perform basic Linux administration and troubleshooting.
Assist with Linux-based lab deployments when required.
Python Automation
Develop Python scripts to automate lab deployment and teardown.
Build automation for scheduling and resource allocation.
Develop monitoring and health-check scripts.
Integrate automation with infrastructure APIs.
Enhance internal operational dashboards and automation tools.
Maintain and document Python scripts.
API Integration
Integrate Python applications with:
VMware vCenter APIs
Scheduling systems
MongoDB
Internal management platforms
Remote Lab Support
Provide operational support for global virtual training labs.
Assist trainers and students with technical issues.
Support remote access technologies including:
Apache Guacamole
VPN
RDP Gateways
SSH
Networking & Security
Configure firewall rules.
Manage Windows networking.
Support multi-tenant lab environments.
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
Manage access controls and permissions.
Documentation
Maintain technical documentation.
Document automation scripts and internal tools.
Update operational procedures and knowledge base articles.
