Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Android Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain Android software components focused on video processing, media frameworks, and SDK development. The successful candidate will contribute to building high-performance Android applications and SDKs that optimize video content and enable fast video sharing across Android devices.

This role involves working on Android’s Media Codec API, hardware codec integration, and Android OS components while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver scalable, low-latency multimedia solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Android Software Development
Design, develop, and maintain Android software components and SDKs.
Build high-performance Android applications for multimedia and video processing.
Customize Android Media Codec APIs within the Android OS stack.
Develop reusable Android SDKs and software frameworks.
Video Processing & Media Engineering
Design and implement video processing solutions including:
Video transcoding
Video packaging
Video optimization
Optimize video applications for low latency and high performance.
Utilize hardware codecs available on Android devices.
Android Media Frameworks
Develop applications using Android Media Frameworks.
Work with:
MediaCodec API
OpenMAX layers
GStreamer
FFmpeg
Native Android Development
Develop native Android components using:
Java

Android NDK
SDK & Framework Development
Design and maintain Android SDKs.
Build reusable software libraries and frameworks.
Extend existing Android software components.
Hardware Platform Integration

Develop applications optimized for hardware platforms including:

Qualcomm
Samsung Exynos

Backend & API Integration
Integrate REST APIs.
Work with cloud storage solutions such as AWS S3 and CDN services.
Support backend connectivity and media delivery.
Performance Optimization
Optimize application memory usage.
Improve concurrency and multithreading.
Optimize networking and socket communication.
Improve application responsiveness and scalability.
Collaboration
Work closely with local and global engineering teams.
Participate in architecture discussions and technical reviews.
Contribute to Agile development processes.
