Job Title: NDT (MPT) Technician
Location: Chennai and Hosur, Tamil Nadu

Job Summary

The NDT (Magnetic Particle Testing – MPT) Technician will be responsible for performing magnetic particle inspections on engineering components and welded structures to detect surface and near-surface defects. The role requires adherence to quality standards, safety procedures, and accurate inspection reporting.

Key Responsibilities
Perform Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT) on components, welds, and fabricated structures.
Conduct inspections according to approved NDT procedures and applicable industry standards.
Identify, evaluate, and report surface and near-surface defects.
Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate testing records.
Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and handling of NDT equipment.
Follow company quality assurance procedures and documentation requirements.
Comply with workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Coordinate with supervisors and quality engineers during inspection activities.
Support production and quality teams in meeting inspection schedules.
Perform additional inspection-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
ITI, Diploma, or equivalent technical qualification (preferred).
NDT Level I/Level II certification in Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT) is an advantage.
Freshers with relevant NDT training are encouraged to apply.
Experience
Freshers can apply.
Up to 1 year of experience in NDT inspection is preferred.
Required Skills
Basic knowledge of Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT).
Understanding of NDT principles and inspection procedures.
Ability to read engineering drawings and inspection specifications.
Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Basic documentation and record-keeping abilities.
Willingness to work in industrial and manufacturing environments.
