Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual QA Test Engineer to join our Agile software development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating software functionality through manual testing, preparing test plans and test cases, executing functional and regression tests, and ensuring high software quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Exposure to automation testing and API/mobile application testing will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Manual Testing
Develop, review, and execute manual test cases based on user stories and business requirements.
Validate software functionality against acceptance criteria.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
Identify, document, and track software defects through to resolution.
Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing.
Test Planning & Execution
Prepare comprehensive test plans and test scenarios.
Execute test cases according to project schedules.
Ensure test coverage aligns with functional and technical requirements.
Maintain testing documentation and test execution reports.
Communicate testing progress, issues, and risks to project stakeholders.
Agile Collaboration
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners.
Support continuous quality improvement throughout the SDLC.
Automation & API Testing (Preferred)
Learn and develop automated functional and regression test scripts.
Execute automated test suites and analyze results.
Perform API testing using appropriate tools.
Conduct manual or automated testing for mobile applications (iOS and Android).
Contribute to automation initiatives where applicable.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Maintain QA documentation and testing artifacts.
Utilize QA tools to manage test cases and defect tracking.
Ensure compliance with organizational quality standards and testing processes.
Assist in continuous improvement of QA methodologies.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (Preferred).
Experience
Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in Manual Software Testing.
