Role Overview

The Automation Engineer will design, program, commission, and maintain industrial automation systems for water treatment, sewage treatment (STP), and wastewater engineering projects. The role involves PLC, SCADA, HMI, instrumentation, commissioning, and technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
Design and implement automation systems for water treatment projects.
Configure and develop PLC, SCADA, HMI, and instrumentation systems.
Develop automation architecture and control strategies.
Program, test, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC and HMI applications.
Perform Software Factory Acceptance Testing (SFAT).
Support on-site commissioning with electrical commissioning engineers.
Implement automation code changes under change control procedures.
Provide automation-related technical support to process and engineering teams.
Prepare automation documentation, SOPs, and technical reports.
Support the tendering team with automation hardware selection and project estimation.
Manage automation project execution within budget and engineering standards.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
B.E./B.Tech in:
Electrical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Electronics Engineering
Automation Engineering
Chemical Engineering
Equivalent Engineering discipline
Experience
6–12 years in industrial automation.
Preferred experience in:
Water Treatment Plants (WTP)
Sewage Treatment Plants (STP)
