About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Lab Support Engineer to support engineering operations within the Embedded Business Unit. The role focuses on planning, logistics, hardware lifecycle management, and coordination of embedded platform/board engineering programs.

You will collaborate with multiple engineering, operations, vendor, and program management teams to ensure timely availability, tracking, allocation, and delivery of embedded hardware platforms. This is a critical and highly visible role that directly contributes to successful product development and customer solution delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Engineering Operations & Logistics
Coordinate with BOPS to add Agile Part Numbers (PN) into SMS based on engineering requirements.
Create offerings in internal portals as requested by Program Managers.
Consolidate hardware requests from multiple teams and submit orders through internal systems.
Track engineering board orders and monitor delivery schedules.
Work with Board Operations teams to establish order baselines and delivery timelines.
Provide weekly shipment tracking updates to stakeholders.
Hardware Lifecycle Management
Analyze End-of-Life (EOL) components and communicate replacement requirements to engineering teams.
Conduct quarterly lead-time and EOL analysis for embedded products.
Collaborate with Platform Engineering teams to develop mitigation plans for supply risks.
Manage allocation and distribution of boards and hardware upon receipt.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Follow up with multiple functional teams to ensure timely order submissions.
Coordinate with engineering, board operations, vendors, and contract manufacturers.
Support embedded platform development programs through effective logistics planning.
Ensure hardware availability for global engineering teams and stakeholders.
Reporting & Documentation
Maintain accurate tracking of orders, deliveries, inventory, and logistics activities.
Generate periodic status reports and updates for management and project teams.
Utilize project management and collaboration tools for documentation and tracking.

Preferred Experience
5+ years of technical experience in the semiconductor or embedded systems industry.
Experience supporting hardware engineering projects and cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of platform lifecycle management.
Experience handling board builds and fabrication activities with contract manufacturers.
Experience managing platform BOMs and hardware logistics.
Familiarity with supply chain planning and component lifecycle management.
Experience working with geographically distributed teams across Asia and North America.

Educational Qualification
Engineering Degree or Diploma in:
Computer Science
Electronics & Communication Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Minimum 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
