Position Summary
The Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, developing customer relationships, and achieving territory sales objectives. The role focuses on both managing existing accounts and developing new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
The successful candidate will be responsible for executing the company’s sales strategy, managing the sales pipeline, and delivering customer-centric solutions that contribute to long-term business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Territory Growth & Revenue Generation
Achieve assigned territory sales targets.
Drive revenue growth and increase market share within the territory.
Develop and execute an effective territory sales plan.
Identify growth opportunities and maximize business potential.
Account Management
Manage existing customer relationships and improve customer satisfaction.
Develop long-term partnerships with key accounts.
Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within existing customers.
Maintain regular engagement with customers to understand evolving business needs.
Business Development
Prospect and acquire new customers within the assigned territory.
Generate qualified leads and convert them into business opportunities.
Build strong customer relationships across multiple industry segments.
Expand the company’s customer base through strategic selling activities.
Sales Process Management
Follow and implement the Markem-Imaje Sales Process.
Maintain accurate sales forecasts and opportunity pipelines.
Manage sales funnel activities from lead generation to closure.
Ensure compliance with company procedures and sales policies.
CRM & Reporting
Utilize CRM systems effectively to manage customer interactions.
Maintain accurate records of opportunities, customer activities, and sales forecasts.
Generate reports and analyze sales metrics.
Use business data to support strategic decision-making.
Territory & Expense Management
Operate within approved expense budgets.
Plan territory visits efficiently to maximize productivity.
Maintain strong coverage across all assigned accounts.
Required Qualifications
Education
B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma / B.Sc.
Postgraduate qualification in Marketing Management from a reputed business school (Full-Time) preferred.
Experience
8–12 years of B2B sales experience.
Experience working with U.S.-based multinational companies preferred.
Exposure to packaging, industrial automation, coding & marking, or end-of-line automation industries preferred.
Experience in metrics-driven and process-oriented multinational environments.
