Position Overview

Black Box is seeking an experienced Wireless Deployment Engineer to provide post-sales engineering expertise and hands-on support for enterprise wireless networking solutions, including Wi-Fi (802.11) and Private LTE/5G technologies.

The successful candidate will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for architecture design, deployment, implementation, integration, troubleshooting, optimization, and lifecycle support of enterprise wireless infrastructure solutions.

This role requires strong technical expertise across multi-vendor wireless ecosystems, advanced wireless survey methodologies, network infrastructure, and customer-facing project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Wireless Solution Design & Deployment
Design, implement, and support enterprise-grade wireless solutions.
Deliver end-to-end deployment services from requirements gathering through production rollout.
Perform equipment staging, configuration creation, validation, and deployment.
Support geographically distributed network implementations.
Wireless Engineering
Design and deploy:
Enterprise Wi-Fi (802.11)
Private LTE Networks
Private 5G Networks
CBRS-based Wireless Solutions
Optimize wireless performance and coverage.
Troubleshoot complex wireless connectivity issues.
Customer Engagement
Serve as the technical lead during implementation projects.
Manage customer expectations and technical deliverables.
Participate in customer meetings and project status reviews.
Ensure projects meet contractual, technical, and operational requirements.
Wireless Survey & Assessment
Conduct:
Predictive Wireless Surveys
Passive Wireless Surveys
Wireless Validation Studies
Analyze RF environments and recommend design improvements.
Produce wireless coverage and performance reports.
Documentation & Architecture
Create detailed:
Network Architecture Documents
Wireless Design Documents
Configuration Guides
Deployment Runbooks
Technical Reports
Vendor & Partner Coordination
Collaborate with:
Internet Service Providers (ISPs)
Carrier Providers
Hardware Vendors

Recommend improvements to deployment methodologies.
